3D Printing Service

I offer a minis and terrain 3D printing service for members of clubs & societies I attend, for war gaming and TTRPGs (eg Warhammer, DnD etc) with pricing based on the cost of materials. I’ve probably directed you to this page as you expressed interest in getting something printed; this contains my basic terms, FAQ and indicative prices.

General terms

  • This is not a commercial service and I don’t have any licenses for commercial printing of models, so you must possess a valid license for the STL files you wish to print.
  • Printing is done at my convenience eg when I have time. Smaller orders may have a wait time until I’ve got sufficient models to do a print run.
  • Orders must be collected in person, generally at the club/event we mutually attend. Though I may allow home collection/delivery in some circumstances.
  • Mini’s and small terrain pieces will be printed in high quality resin. Larger terrain pieces may need to be done in lower quality FDM due to size and cost constraints.
  • I reserve the right to refuse orders or operate a wait list if I’m over subscribed, with prioritisation at my discretion.
  • Orders to be placed digitally, I will have provided my discord, signal or email address alone with this link.
  • Please check with me prior to purchasing any STLs that it is a model that will be possible to print on my hardware.

FAQ

  • What is an STL File?
An STL file is the file format for a 3D model which is suitable for 3D printing.
  • Where can I get STL files from?
There are many places that provide both free and paid STL files. See the list further down the page for examples
  • What is a pre-supported file?
Most 3D prints require additional parts adding the the model to hold it in place while it prints (blame gravity) some suppliers of STL files will provide models with the supports already in place while others won’t. If you have the option of a pre-supported file, please provide it in addition to the unsupported version as It’ll save me work in adding the supports myself but please also provide the unsupported version as the supports added by the creator may not be setup correctly for my printer.
  • Why are Hero forge/eldritch foundry minis more expensive?
These files are auto generated and unique to you, as such they typically haven’t been optimised for 3D printing and as such require more preparation work and carry a higher chance of failure requiring a reprint
